Third Eye Chakra Healing.

The Third Eye chakra is located in the centre of the eyebrows and is sometimes called the ‘Brow’ chakra. It governs the head, face and sinuses, ears and lower part of the brain and the pineal gland.

The third eye chakra is our centre of intuition and governs how we perceive and process the world around us, how we evaluate and establish our beliefs, how our psyche functions and how we understand all of what we experience in life. It also governs our hidden/ shadow inner world. It can be seen as the veil that connects the material and spiritual world.

When our Third Eye chakra is balanced we are able to effectively discern and decipher the world around us and live life in accordance to our own best interests. This discernment and decipherment pertains specifically to identifying our own ‘truth’ in any matter – and the truth for one person may be very different to that of another.

When our third eye is balanced we have the ability to detach from situations on a mental and emotional level and use our inner compass to guide us towards what is right for us. The third eye is what some might call our ‘sixth sense’. When we successfully harness this energy of detachment we can remain centred and focused even in the midst of chaotic energy. We are able to act appropriately to situations without reacting in an emotional way – I call it Eye of the Storm energy. It takes some practice and it takes a lot of focus and energy to apply this in life if you are not naturally inclined towards compartmentalism, yet it is worth practicing detachment in situations that would typically cause stress, distress, anger or conflict. Self care and patience are important here as well as integrating this work alongside the other chakras in our system.

Our third eye connects us mentally to the world of archetypes and universal symbolism and allows us to perceive the world on an abstract, energetic level. When our third eye is balanced we can understand ourselves and how we function as part of the web of life. The concept of Consciousness on a collective level is recognised and we can easily make the connection to the web of life and our place within and influence upon it.

Manifesting what we want is linked strongly to third eye work. Our thoughts create our reality and it is through our thoughts that we communicate with the universe. Our third eye can be seen as the magnet that pulls towards us and into reality whatever it is that we are manifesting – consciously or unconsciously, good or bad.

All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, … we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is just a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves.’

Third Eye Chakra Healing:

Colour: Indigo, purple and violet are the colours to work with for third eye work. Indigo is a great colour to connect to while doing shadow work, it can help us to perceive our hidden aspects and bring our fears into the open to be acknowledged and faced. Indigo helps us to connect to our true understanding of life and see our own truth in all things. Violet and Purple are the colours of imagination and spirituality, of connection to the metaphysical world and Indigo combines these colours with Dark Blue which is the colour of communication – so with Indigo we are communicating with our inner world and psyche and since our inner world and psyche are governed by the universal archetypes we are also communicating with the collective consciousness/spirit world.

Elemental Healing: The element for the Third Eye is Cosmos. Our Third Eye acts as the veil between the physical and metaphysical world and so through connection to our third eye we can connect to the Cosmic element which in turn helps to heal the Third Eye.

Journaling/Detachment Healing: Stress, fear, anxiety, grief, anger and all other negative emotions all serve to create blockages within our chakras. Our Third Eye becomes blocked each time we allow the outer world to impact on our mental health. If our emotions are being manipulated – intentionally or not, by other people this goes on to further affect our Third Eye as we allow our behaviour, thoughts, emotions and choices to be determined by factors outside of ourselves. Detachment Healing allows us to create an inner space that only we can access where we can link into our own intuition, see situations as they truly are within OUR reality and perception of the world and to then act in accordance to our OWN truth and not be triggered, manipulated, coerced, deceived, tricked, pushed, bullied, guilt tripped or forced to react or behave in ways that we are not fully comfortable with. We can align our energy and master our Selves when we master the art of Detachment healing. This is an ongoing process and involves the act of releasing control and surrender in a sometimes continual manner. This is not something that we can master overnight, but with consistency and practise, patience and self love.

Crystals: Amethyst, Fluorite, Moonstone, Lapiz Lazuli, Sodalite, Labradorite, Ammonite.

Essential Oils: Frankincense, Lavender, Jasmine, Neroli, Violet Leaf.

Peacock Spirit Healing: Peacock energy helps us to stand in our own truth and hold an air of detached grace. Peacock feathers are beautiful energy clearing tools which I use in my healing sessions to cleanse the aura and have been used in the ancient Vedic practice of Jharra healing, where the practitioner sweeps Peacock feathers over the client while chanting specific mantras, for millennia. Peacock feathers also have the beautiful eye pattern and the colours of them also relate to those of Third Eye healing so this spirit animal energy is perfect for Third Eye healing work.

Angelic Healing: Archangel Zadkiel can be called in to help us to connect to both the energy of Surrender and the Violet Flame, both of which can help with Third Eye work. Third Eye blockages need a powerful yet positive force such as the Violet Flame to help remove old thought patterns and the Violet Flame will transmute any negative energies. Archangel Raziel can help us to see our truth, He is the Archangel of secrets and mysteries and in this way he helps us to recognise the truth of any matter including our own truth which is the crux of Third Eye work. Again Archangel Jophiel can help us to recognise the importance of Self love and care. Archangel Michael is a great energy to call on for protection in any spiritual work, visualising Archangel Michael covering us with an energetic shield helps to protect us and he is the holder of the sword of truth which can cut through anything, including lies or deceit to get to the truth of the matter so his energy can help in this way.

I made this video before I realised that Detachment Healing is what I will be incorporating into this Third Eye work and its quite interesting to watch back and see how the things that came up are actually connected to Detachment Healing:

Trusting in Divine Timing…

…and coming to terms with regret.

What’s the use in regrets?
They’re just things we haven’t done yet.
What are regrets?
They’re just lessons we haven’t learned yet.

Beth Orton – ‘Sweetest Decline’.

Today I have been pondering the idea of Divine Timing and the idea of having no regrets. I have found that I have had to change and shift my perception of regrets recently. I used to believe that it was useless to try to not have regrets, that regrets were not things you could easily dismiss as unhelpful or a waste of time. I felt that in my own life there are so many things that I regret that it was practically impossible to escape them. Things that I regretted not having, or not doing, or things that I regretted doing and wished I could erase from the reality of my life would haunt me on almost a daily basis.

Most recently the thing that had been rolling around in my mind as a regret of sorts was the sense that I have finally found my calling and know what it is that I want to achieve and have clear goals that I am striving for – but that this hasn’t happened for me until I am well into my 40’s. There was the sense of regret that the tarot cards I was just getting to grips with in my early 20’s were put away and forgotten for a huge chunk of my life -that I didn’t pursue my deep fascination in astrology until this point in my life. That I didn’t recognise that spiritual development and healing was my calling until now.

Recently though, with the contemplation of divine timing and the spiritual work I have been doing over the last few months, I have finally realised that the things in my life that I would previously have called a regret are now becoming hugely profound spiritual lessons. When these things crop up for me I have learned to understand that it is all part of the spiritual work I am undertaking, it is ALWAYS connected and ALWAYS serves to help me learn, grow and expand spiritually.

I treated myself to a new Oracle Deck this week called ‘The Wild Offering Oracle Deck‘. Its a 52 card deck and I have had it less than a week and yet already one card seems to be coming out more than the others and that is the card of ‘Divine Timing‘. The writing on this card says:

The Divine brings things in the timing that we need. Nothing comes before we’re prepared, nor leaves too early. May I always trust Your perfect and holy timing, dear Lord!’

This little prayer triggered in me a bit of an epiphany in that I was never supposed to discover my life path and have this clear vision and goal for what it is that I want – not until this point in my life. I needed to experience all the things that I used to call regrets as they are now the fuel that feeds my spiritual growth! It seems like such a simple thing to realise and yet I often find that the most profound realisations have a real simplicity about them.

Finally I can contemplate regrets not as something that will forever taunt and haunt me and make me wish I could re live my life, but as the lessons that they truly are. If you are struggling with regrets and perhaps can’t see the lesson within the things you see as regrets, try to have faith and allow diving timing to play out. Try to trust that some day you will see the value and the lesson that your experience holds for you. If this creates friction and resistance in you, bring it back to simplicity and release it remembering when it comes down to it the Universe really does have your back!
